Education Workgroup

Scope and Purpose
The Education Workgroup brings together representatives of inter-agency groups from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, the District of Columbia and others to advocate the commitments outlined in the Education and Outreach section of the Chesapeake 2000 Agreement. The Education Workgroup is tasked with evaluating and recommending policies related to bay education and for reporting on progress towards the Chesapeake 2000 education commitment, MWEE. The Workgroup also convenes a biennial Education Summit to share information and issues, and to promote and improve scientific achievements by students.
