Sustainable Schools

In the coming decades, the public will be called upon to understand complex environmental issues and be aware of the environmental effects that individual decisions can have on local and global scales. Creating a scientifically informed citizenry will require a concerted approach to environmental education, which will require our support of sustainability efforts at schools.

Outcome(s)

Sustainable Schools Continually increase the number of schools in the region that reduce the impact of their buildings and grounds on their local watershed, environment and human health through best practices, including student-led protection and restoration projects.
