For nearly three decades, the Chesapeake Bay commission has been a leader in Bay restoration efforts. Confronting the broad range of issues that reflect countless pollution sources, land uses and human impats on the nation's largest estuary requires a concerted effort by the Federal, state and local governments, as well as the private sector. All have a significant role to play.
