The goal of Total Resource Management Planning is to identify ways to manage agricultural land holistically by including both environmental and economic factors. The process makes the farmer aware of tthe relationship among various plan components and moves the farmer toward fill implementation of the plan. It represents a way to balance environmental needs with economics and limitedplanning resources. The process stresses the importance resource stewardship and economic viability as incentives for participation.
