Executive Order 13508 Strategy for Protecting and Restoring the Chesapeake Bay Watershed 2010

The Executive Order acknowledges that although the federal government should assume a strong leadership role in the restoration of the Bay, success depends on a collaborative effort involving state and local goveernments, businesses, non-governmental organizations and the region's residents. To develop the strategy, federal agencies consulted with the six Bay watershed staates, the district of Columbia and the Chesapeake Bay commission, engaged key stakeholders and held public meetings.
