The Chesapeake Bay Program GIS Team is comprised of a GIS Team Leader and four full-time GIS Analysts/ The GIS Team Leader is employed by the National Park Service (NPS), the full-time GIS Analysts work under a cooperative agreement with the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) and through an interagency agreement with U.S. Geological Survey.The Team is primarily responsible for analyzing and mapping geo-spatial data. The source of geo-spatial data is almost exclusively from other organization as the Team creates very little data itself.
