The Bay Program is currently reevaluating and revising the 1994 Chesapeake Bay Vasinwide Toxics and Reduction and Prevention Strategy and through a series of Critical Issue Forums and focused workshops with stakeholders, developing direction and action to take on chemical contaminant-related issues in the year 2000 and beyond. The purpose of the Goal Setting Workshoop, held on October 25th, 1999 at Baltimore Gas and electric in Baltimore, Maryland, was to bring together industry stakeholders to take the next step in developing actual toxic preventtion and reduction goals for point sources. These new goals will be incorporated into the revised Toxics Stratey and will alsso be taken into consideration during development of the new Chesapeake Bay Agreement (C2K).
