A nonprofit taps into the environmental spirit of their faith through outdoor experiences

High schooler Ailya Gillani sees the generational gap between her and her parents in this way: She is the source of "fresh ideas" for the family and her parents are a source of culture and tradition. When she started recycling, she got the whole family on board, and when her mother found an environmental program organized by a nonprofit called Green Muslims, she thought her daughter might want to give it a try.
