Purpose

At the meeting, we will delve into topics related to the Environmental Literacy Goal of the 2014 Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement. Conversations include: how parks are being used to deliver student experiences and how these experiences could be deepened into elements of the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience, how states are advancing environmental literacy programs at the state and local level, including taking advantage of the Every Student Succeeds Act, and how sustainable school efforts relate to a balanced budget; the healthy and safety of students, faculty, and staff; and college and career readiness of students.
