Numerous SAV ground surveys have been conducted but most have been limited to specific sections. No one ground survey has delineated baywide SAV patterns. The goal of the 1989 work was to continue the annual monitoring of SAV on a baywide basis using aerial photographic methods with appropriate ground truth to substantiate presence or absence of SAV in particular sections.
