Description

Join us for a tour of conservation projects within Baltimore, Maryland to celebrate the Chesapeake Bay Program's 40th anniversary. Attendees will start the day at Greater Grace World Outreach church and drive to different sites, where partners and community members will discuss the projects.

  1. Greater Grace World Outreach (9:30 - 10:30 a.m.): Tour two recently completed bioretention areas and a new greenspace and pollinator garden in the church's schoolyard. Learn more
  2. Tench Tilghman Elementary and Middle School (11:00 - 11:45 a.m.): Visit the school's outdoor classroom and 5-acre conservation landscape to learn how the projects control stormwater runoff while providing learning experiences. Learn more
  3. Bliss Meadows (12:15 - 1:00 p.m.): Check out brand new plantings at a 10-acre land reclamation project that brings an urban farm, environmental education and access to green space to northeast Baltimore. Learn more
  4. Union Collective (1:30 - 2:15 p.m.): End the tour with a brew from Union Craft Brewing while hearing about the Collective’s upcoming stormwater management project. Learn more
