Description

Join us for a tour of three conservation projects within Lancaster, Pennsylvania to celebrate the Chesapeake Bay Program's 40th anniversary. Attendees will start the day at a farm along Beiler Run and drive to different sites, where partners and community members will discuss the projects.

  1. Beiler Run Farm (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.): Tour this working farm's conservation practices, installed to reduce nutrient and sediment runoff to local waterways. Learn more
  2. Bright Side Opportunities Center (11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.): Visit the rain garden and conservation landscape installations on this church's campus, designed to address stormwater runoff issues. Learn more
  3. Lancaster Brewing Company (12:45 - 1:45 p.m.): End the day at Lancaster Brewery Company with a tour of their stormwater management practices and stay to mingle with other participants over a brew. Learn more
