Description

Spend time paddling down the Clinch River. View a variety of aquatic life from longnose gar to fresh water mussels. Watch Great Blue Herons fly by, and turtles sunning themselves on logs and rocks. If you are lucky, you may see old abandoned railcars. No experience is needed. This section of water is designated less than a class I rapid. Paddling is required.

This program is open to anyone age 13 and up.

Wear clothing you do not mind getting wet. Wear sunscreen and bring water and snacks. A water bottle filling station is available in front of the Visitor Center.

For your comfort and safety appropriate footwear with a secure heel and closed toe is required; backless shoes, flip-flops, crocs, or sandals (including Chacos) are NOT allowed.
