Description

The expedition includes a hayride to the river, safety demonstration, and guided tour of Piscataway Creek. Take in the scenic views of the protected Mount Vernon viewshed as you learn about the area’s rich natural surroundings and abundant bird life. Then, enjoy a bring your own picnic (we can refrigerate for you!) at our new pavilion before heading home.

Kayaks, life vests, and training included. Participants should expect to get wet and are encouraged to wear water-appropriate clothing and water-safe shoes. Bottled water, sunscreen, and a hat recommended.
