How a local river association helped bring the Little Juniata back to life

A Pennsylvania river that once was an “open sewer” is being restored with the help of fishermen, paddlers and others who belong to the Little Juniata River Association, led by Bill Anderson of Altoona, Pa. The nonprofit has helped establish over five miles of public fishing easements along the river, which now offers Class A wild brown trout habitat.
