Chesapeake Forest Restoration Strategy
CompleteThis 2020 update to the original Chesapeake Forest Restoration Strategy served as the basis for a shared stewardship agreement between the Chesapeake Bay watershed's seven state foresters and the Chief of the U.S. Forest Service.
Description
In 2020, the Forestry Workgroup revised and updated the original Chesapeake Forest Restoration Strategy, adopted in 2012. This strategy includes priorities and actions that will guide our forestry efforts in the years ahead, and served as the basis for an Agreement for Shared Stewardship signed in October 2020 by the states of Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia and the U.S. Forest Service.
