Modeling the Past to Predict the Future: Forecasting the Relative Role of Climate Change and Habitat Management on Chesapeake Bay SAV
CompleteThis project modeled the impact of climate change on underwater grasses in the Chesapeake Bay.
Description
This project, conducted by the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and supported by a diverse group of steering committee members, modeled the impact of climate change on underwater grasses in the Chesapeake Bay. In addition to a final report, a Shiny application was developed to allow users to view the future of Chesapeake Bay submerged aquatic vegetation on a Bay-wide, individual community or segment-specific scale under two different scenarios: https://vims-sav.shinyapps.io/testshinyrmd/#section-segments
This work was funded through the Chesapeake Bay Program Goal Implementation Team (GIT) Funding Program.
