Description
Directive 03-1 reaffirms the Chesapeake Bay Program's commitment to protecting and restoring riparian lands along the Chesapeake Bay watershed’s thousands of miles of streams and shoreline. It commits the Bay Program to maximize the miles of streambank and shoreline that are protected by any form of vegetated buffer, especially trees, and to adopt an expanded set of goals related to riparian forest buffers and urban tree canopy.
