Directive 98-3: Accelerating Bay Restoration Through Implementation of Innovative Technologies

Directive No. 98-3 directs the Chesapeake Bay Program to undertake an Innovative Technologies initiative, and to work together to: (1) Identify Chesapeake Bay Program restoration and protection needs in the areas of pollution source reduction and prevention, environmental monitoring, habitat restoration and telecommunication that would benefit from the implementation of innovative technologies. (2) Following completion of the technology needs matrix, convene an Innovative Technology Task Force to determine the best approaches to carry out the directive commitments. (3) Accelerate the deployment of innovative technologies that support Bay restoration and protection.
