Guidance on forestry best management practices and how best to verify that they have been correctly reported, installed and maintained.
Description
This report offers guidance for verifying the existence and performance of seven forestry best management practices (BMPs) in the Chesapeake Bay watershed:
- Agricultural riparian forest buffers;
- Narrow agricultural buffers;
- Agricultural tree planting;
- Expanded tree canopy;
- Urban forest planting;
- Urban riparian forest buffers; and
- Forest harvesting BMPs.
This guidance is for use by Chesapeake Bay states, and generally applies to federal installations, as well, so they may use it to write Protocols for Verification.
