About
The Invasive Catfish Workgroup is charged with coordinating activities and recommending actions to implement the five policy objectives of the Invasive Catfish Policy Adoption Statement, signed on January 24, 2012. It coordinates the best available science and develops methods to evaluate the impacts of invasive catfish species on the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, and regularly reports on knowledge of related issues. The workgroup emphasizes Bay-wide communication among jurisdictions and engages a broad group of members representing the commercial and recreational fishery, seafood processing industry, state agencies and the scientific community.
