Gopal Bhatt is an Associate Research Professor in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at the Pennsylvania State University. He joined CBP Modeling Team in 2011, where he has been providing scientific and technical support to the team’s cooperative and collaborative efforts for the planning, development, calibration, verification, and applications of the next generation Chesapeake Bay Watershed Models. He received PhD in Civil Engineering from Penn State, M.Tech. in Water Resources Development and Management, and B.Tech.(H) in Agricultural and Food Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. His primary research focuses on the aspects of spatially distributed watershed hydrology and water quality modeling for improving our understanding of complex watershed responses in space and time and to changing climate, land use, and population growth for supporting efficient, effective, and targeted implementations of management practices and restoration efforts in a coastal watershed.
