Labeeb is a Geographer at US Geological Survey and works within the Chesapeake Bay Program’s GIS and Land Data teams. He conducts research and development of geospatial analyses, models/tools, and data to better understand impacts of land use change on water quality. He’s led the development of Chesapeake Bay Land Change Model (CBLCM) to forecast future land use change under various land policy scenarios, and Floodplain and Channel Evaluation Tool (FACET) to remotely map geomorphometry of channels and floodplains at reach-scale for Chesapeake and Delware River watersheds. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
