Back to all staff

Melissa is employed by the Chesapeake Research Consortium and manages the Environmental Management Career Development Program in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Program. Environmental Management Staffers in the career development program provide coordination and technical support to the Chesapeake Bay Program while spending time on their own professional growth and development. As the program's coordinator, Melissa does a little bit of everything including program development and budgeting; recruitment and hiring; and staff management and mentoring. She holds a bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island and a master's degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Melissa grew up in the Bay watershed and will take any opportunity to be outside hiking, gardening, and exploring new places. When indoors, you can find her trying out a new recipe or curled up with a good book.
