Purpose

"Crediting Floating Treatment Wetlands in the Chesapeake Bay" the debut webinar on the FTW expert panel recommendations. For more info or to register: http://chesapeakestormwater.net/events/webcast-floating-treatment-wetlands/ Floating treatment wetlands (FTWs) are rafts of wetland vegetation that are deployed in stormwater ponds with a permanent pool of water. FTWs have been implemented in open-water systems, stormwater ponds, farm ponds CAFO lagoons and aquatic nursery operations across the nation. In keeping with its established policy, the Urban Stormwater Workgroup convened an expert panel in 2013 to evaluate the potential benefits to potentially provide cost effective nutrient reduction for Chesapeake Bay communities. After almost 3 years, the Panel has come to consensus. Join us for a “debut” webinar to hear their main recommendations for implementing and crediting these practices in the Chesapeake Bay!
