Purpose
This is the calendar webpage for the May 2026 STAR Meeting. The agenda and additional meeting materials can be found below as they become available. You can join us virtually via the Teams link or in person in the Blue Crab Conference Room.
STAR members and interested parties will hear from Qian Zhang (UMCES) on the updated Chesapeake Bay Water Quality Standards Attainment Indicator through 2024. Robin Glas (USGS) will give an update to her continued analysis of a possible new Hydrological and Critical Period for the Chesapeake Bay. Colin Hawes (VIMS) will give an overview of an assessment of different fisheries species habitat suitability under different changing environmental conditions scenarios. Lastly, Greg Noe (USGS) will give an overview of a recent publication Changes in suspended sediment concentration along tidal rivers of the Chesapeake Bay: the tidal freshwater "sediment shadow".
