Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to highlight Stewardship Lightning Talks showcasing stewardship efforts in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, welcome and orient new Workgroup members to the group, to provide updates on the status of the Management Strategy for the Stewardship Outcome, and to discuss the restructured Stewardship Committees.
Lightning Talk Speakers:
- Kelly Slippey from Lancaster Conservancy will share about how Lancaster Water Week brings together partners and community members to spark collaboration and excitement to care for over 1,400 miles of streams and rivers.
- Virginia Witmer from the Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program will share about the Plant Virginia Natives Initiative which has grown to have 10 campaigns, regional plant guides (PlantVirginiaNatives.org), and collaborative projects!
