Microplastic Source Tracking: Preliminary Investigation Data Report Potomac River, Maryland
This project investigated the likely sources for microplastics related to land use
Description
As a preliminary investigation to determine likely sources for microplastics related to land use, this project collected surface water samples (microplastic loadings) conveyed by several land use types including agriculture, wastewater, storm water, urban, suburban, and wetlands/natural in the tidal Potomac River Watershed along a gradient from tidal headwaters toward the confluence with the Bay at two time series (baseflow and stormflow).
