In December 2025, the Workforce Outcome was signed into the revised Chesapeake Bay Agreement under the Engaged Communities Goal. The Workforce Action Team (WFAT) seeks to achieve the Workforce Outcome and its associated three targets.

History: The Workforce Action Team was established in 2022 in response to increasing interest from the Chesapeake Bay Program in better understanding workforce-related challenges to achieving the program's goals and outcomes. The WFAT supported the development and implementation of a landscape analysis, as well as coordination and collaboration around workforce development and programming.
