The first in the series of critical issues forums: Achieving a Toxics Free Bay-theRole of Point Sources was held on June 22, 1999 at the Top of Bay Officer's Club in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The purpose of the forum was to give stakeholders an opportunity to provide input on the direction the Chesapeake Bay Program will take on issues related to the prevention and reduction of toxics from point sources. This document smmarizes proceedings of the forum. Recommendation and results of this forum will be taken into consideration by the Chesapeake Bay Program for development of the new toxics strategy.
