This report is part of Virginia's ongoing effort to measure progress toward Bay restoration and to assess the quality of Virginia's rivers and streams. The information in this report offers an insight into the monitoring of our waters and the science that tells us how these standards of water quality affect the health and status of aquatic resources. This information also underpins our work with local officials, stakeholders and interest groups as we cooperatively developstrategies for reducing nutrients into the Bay and its tributaries.
