Chesapeake Bay watershed wetlands are recognized as some of the most important wetlands are recognized as some of the most important wetlands in the United States and have received worldwide recognition as "Wetlands of International Importance Especially as Waterfowl Habitat" under the 45 nation Ramsar Convention treaty. Million of recreationists and students enjoy the richness of Chesapeake Bay wetlands ever6y year in local, state and national parks, forests and wildlife refuges. This annual report discusses the Living Resources Subcommittee's Wetlands Workgroup progress on these projects over the last year, and the near term goals for the next year. The progress to date includes work completed for the first phase and beginning to set up the second phase of the implementation plan.
