The purpose of this document is to provide field and laboratory methods and associated quality control (QC) procedures and criteria that will result in the generation of data of known and documented quality for use in the Chesapeake Bay Monitoring Program. Under this document, the Participant will conduct field measurements and collect andanalyze water and sediment samples for specific physical, chemical, and biological parameters that are in accordance with Appendix F and previous data collection efforts. These monitoring data will be used in characterizing the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, identifying long term trends, and providing data and guidance to managers and modelers during the restoration phase.
