We will hear from Amir Azarnivand (UMCES) on Flow, Biology, and Diel Oxygen Variability in a Shallow Estuary: Insights from the Patuxent River Estuary. Lastly, we will have an open discussion on the scope and purpose of ITAT under the new revised agreement.

Joint Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT) and Nontidal Network (NTN) Workgroup Meeting - December 2025
This is the December 2025 Joint meeting with the Integrated trends Analysis Team (ITAT) and Nontidal Network (NTN) Workgroup. We will hear from Rebecca Murphy (University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, UMCES) on the recently published 2024 tidal trends, and from James Webber (U.S. Geological Survey, USGS) on the 2024 RIM trends.

This is the September 2025 meeting of the Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT). We will hear from Sujay Kaushal (University of Maryland) on Evaluating Stream Restoration Tradeoffs in Water Quality across Watershed Scales. We close out with a presentation from Tish Robertson (Virginia Department of Environmental Quality) on Developing Numeric Chlorophyll a Criteria Through Science, Enhanced Monitoring, and a Collaborative Stakeholder Partnership.

This is the August 2025 meeting of the Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT). We will hear from Guangming Zheng (UMD) on their article Hypoxia Forecasting for Chesapeake Bay Using Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence for the Earth Systems [link to article]. Additionally, James Webber (USGS) will present newly published RIM Loads and Trends through water year 2024 [link to full data release].

Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT) Meeting - June 2025
This is the June 2025 meeting of the Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT). ITAT Leaders will introduce CBP intern, Ezra Krantz. We will hear from Stephanie Letourneau (VIMS) on Community Informed Evaluation & Recommendations for Chesapeake Bay Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) Watchers. As well, Gabriel Duran (CRC) will follow up on the May 2025 ITAT Webinar on the different tools ITAT provides and we will have an open discussion on plans for the future of these tools.
Chesapeake Bay Program Webinar: A Clearer Picture: Discover Tools to Track Water Quality Trends
The Chesapeake Bay Program’s Integrated Trends and Analysis Team hosts a variety of tools to help understand water quality across the Bay watershed and tributaries. This webinar will teach participants how ITAT leverages available monitoring data and tools to understand and communicate status and trends in water quality to community partners. The webinar will begin with introducing attendees to free, science-based, partnership-developed resources available to their organizations. The second half will be focused on technical assistance and stepping attendees through how to utilize these tools. Join our webinar to learn more about the resources available to improve your work!

Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT) Meeting - April 2025
This is the April 2025 meeting of the Integrated Trends Analysis Team (ITAT). We will hear from Eva Smith, ITAT intern, on her experience this last semester in preparing a Tributary Summary Report and Story Map for the Lower Eastern Shore. We will also hear from Rachel Terracina on the Smithsonian Environment Research Center's (SERC) Chesapeake Water Watch, a participatory science project that aims to improve remote sensing water-quality monitoring across the Chesapeake Bay. Lastly, we will receive an update from Breck Sullivan, STAR Coordinator, on the revised outcome language for the Water Quality Standards Attainment & Monitoring Outcome.
