    Open Session: Nontidal Wetland Rehabilitation, Enhancement and Creation BMP Expert Panel

    Meeting objectives: --Offer context on this BMP for stakeholders and expert panel members. --Provide input to the panel in the form of presentations or discussion that will help inform their evaluation of water quality benefits – specifically nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment reductions – associated with nontidal wetland rehabilitation, enhancement and creation BMPs in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. The input requested may address, but is not limited to: data, policy and regulations, experiences with implementation, or tracking and reporting practices.     Wetland Workgroup Meeting - December 2016

    The Wetland Workgroup will meet on Tuesday, December 13th from 1:00-3:00 PM. The workgroup's approval of the Wetland Expert Panel's Final Report (released November 22nd, 2016) will be sought at this meeting. Each workgroup member will be asked to vote on approval of the report. If a member cannot be present at the meeting, votes may be emailed to Kyle Runion (runion.kyle@epa.gov) before the meeting.     Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15th. An agenda and other materials will be distributed and posted online when available. The meeting will focus on the Wetland Expert Panel report (to be provided for review prior to the meeting). Members will vote on workgroup approval of the report to proceed on through the Bay Program. For those who can attend in person, please send Erin McLaughlin (erin.mclaughlin@maryland.gov) an email so that you may park at Navy Stadium. Once your name is on the list, you will just need to pull up to Gate 6 off Taylor Avenue, press the call button, and state your name for the guard. The gate should then open and you will be able to park. Disregard the names on some of the spaces - they are for season pass holders. A photo id will be required at the front desk as you enter the building.     The Co-Chairs of the Wetland Workgroup request that all members attend the May 26th Workgroup meeting in-person or remotely to review the Wetland Expert Panel's Draft Final Report. As stated in the Agenda, the Wetland Workgroup must approve the Final Report. This is your opportunity to provide comments and ask questions prior to the rigorous Bay Program review. In addition, Steve Raabe will be presenting the results of the agricultural landowner survey. Although Thursday, May 26th marks the start of the Memorial Day weekend, we ask you to take two hours to participate in this meeting.
