Katheryn is employed by the Environmental Protection Agency and works as the indicators coordinator for the Accountability and Budget team. She is responsible for managing the indicator development and update process for tracking progress toward our outcomes and coordinates the Status and Trends workgroup. Before joining the Chesapeake Bay Program, she earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences and anthropology from the University of Notre Dame while involving herself in field research opportunities such as conducting riparian bird species surveys along the Rio Grande for the Bureau of Reclamation. Katheryn enjoys hiking in the many state parks in the region and finds pleasure in learning to identify bird calls, her favorite being that of the Yellow-billed Cuckoo.
