Kristin is employed by the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and serves as the Cross-Program Coordinator for the Chesapeake Bay Program. She breaks down silos and connects the work of the program across the many partner organizations and disciplines. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Maryland and Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and has dedicated her career to public service, having worked in various agencies and leadership positions in Maryland state government spanning 33 years. A lifelong Marylander, Kristin grew up in Chestertown on the Chester River and now resides in Annapolis with her son. While nurturing a child in nature, she is also very active in community advocacy involving mental health, domestic violence, learning disabilities and natural resource conservation.
