The Fall 2016 Habitat GIT meeting will take place on Monday, November 14th at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. We are excited to build on the momentum generated among state partners at the spring meeting with a plan to present first hand examples of planning tools tailored to OUR issues and watershed. Partners also will share important information on funding opportunities with applications to local decisions, progress reports, and collaboration prospects with other GITs and the Climate Resiliency Workgroup. Please be sure to watch the RCOA Overview and Application webinar before the meeting to familiarize yourself with the tools and help our morning session be as efficient as possible. As if the valuable agenda items aren’t enough, NCTC is always a beautiful place to visit during the fall! (See agenda for post meeting hike down to the river). It will also be a great opportunity to meet some key Habitat GIT players who have recently stepped up into leadership roles. For those requiring local accommodations: unfortunately NCTC does not have rooms available but we encourage you to consider other nearby lodging such as the Bavarian Inn, Clarion Inn, or Quality Inn (each of which offer government rates). Please RSVP to runion.kyle@epa.gov. NCTC requires names to get on the campus, so you must RSVP to attend! Materials to be uploaded as they become available.
