- Work with all outcome assessment responses to explore opportunities for interconnectedness of outcomes.
- Opportunity for GIT Chairs to hear from Outcome Leads all at once.
- Opportunity for GIT Chairs to share ideas, brainstorm, and organize their thoughts prior to the Management Board meetings.
- The meeting will be held on the first-floor conference room at 200 Harry S. Truman Pkwy Suite 460, Annapolis, MD 21401. We will have a hybrid option, but we encourage in-person participation.
- Due to room constraints, we are prioritizing GIT leadership, but we welcome anyone to join in virtually (Zoom link below).
- This is a separate effort from the work GIT 6 is responsible for around CBP structure, but we hope the discussion will inform their efforts.
- This meeting is not mandatory, and no final decisions on outcomes will be made at the meeting.

Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting (STAR) Meeting - November 2025
This is the STAR November 2025 Meeting. We will hear an update from Catherine Krikstan (UMCES) on interim plans for ChesapeakeProgress as the CBP moves from the 2014 agreement to the 2025 revised agreement. Rachel Felver (Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay) will provide an overview and updates of the approved and amended Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement.

Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting (STAR) Meeting - September 2025
This is the September 2025 meeting of the Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting Team (STAR). We will hear a presentation from Sadie Drescher (Chesapeake Bay Trust) on the Chesapeake Pooled Monitoring Program, their recent research and what's next. Second, STAR leaders will facilitate an open discussion on the Revised Agreement. Lastly, STAR leaders will introduce early thoughts on STAR's structure under the new Goal and Outcome structure.

This is the August 2025 meeting of the Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting Team (STAR). At this meeting, we will be hearing from Ken Hyer (USGS) on updates from the Governance and Accountability Team and from Qian Zhang (UMCES) and Breck Sullivan (USGS) on the Water Quality Standards Attainment and Monitoring Outcome indicators and Beyond 2025 updates. The last hour of the meeting will highlight various current science efforts around the Bay!
Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting Team (STAR) Meeting - July 2025
This is the July 2025 meeting of the Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting Team (STAR). We'll begin by continuing our June discussion on Priority Indicators and Targets. Our second main agenda item will introduce the Strategic Science and Research Framework (SSRF) and its connection to the Strategy Review System (SRS). This conversation will help inform STAR's recommendations to the Governance Accountability Team (GAT) for the September 2025 Management Board (MB) meeting.
Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting (STAR) Meeting - June 2025
This is the June 2025 meeting of the Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting Team (STAR). This meeting will continuing the discussion on indicators that began at the May STAR meeting. First, Breck Sullivan (USGS) will be defining indicators and Peter Tango (USGS) will review formal and informal indicators. This will be followed by a discussion on the topic. Next, John Wolf (USGS) will be presenting his findings on the interconnectivity of the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) outcomes, indicators, and influencing factors. The meeting will wrap up with an opportunity for each outcome to explore their indicators and work together to find common ground.
Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting (STAR) Meeting - May 2025
This is the May 2025 meeting of the Scientific, Technical Assessment and Reporting Team (STAR). The STAR Workgroup (WG) and its members will approve the new leadership for the Criteria Assessment Protocol Workgroup. We will also hear from Douglas Bell (EPA) on indicators updates and communication plans for 2025. This will be followed by a guided discussion on the more broad indicators framework and how the STAR WG and members imagine how this might change in 2026.
